The University recognizes in the Departments the structures deputed primarily to the promotion and organization of scientific research, as well as teaching and training activities.
The basic and applied research activity of the Department of Public, International and European Union Law (DiPIC) unfolds within the CUN Area 12 – Legal Sciences, in the Scientific Disciplinary Sectors of Public and Constitutional Law, Comparative Public, Administrative, Tax, International and European, Criminal, Civil Trial, Ecclesiastical and Political Economy, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary issues inherent to the Sustainability of Rights and the protection of Health, Environment and Cultural Heritage. This makes it possible to embrace a very wide spectrum of research topics, different in content and methodology, and yet capable of intersecting in a perspective of synergy and collaboration that wants to be increasingly accentuated.
This research activity takes the form of high-level Scientific Production, also with international dissemination, fostered by scientific collaborations established with other research institutions both Italian and foreign, interaction with Third Mission activities including through contracts and agreements with public and private institutions and entities , as an opportunity to open and develop new lines of research, and the use of fundraising to finance Special Research Projects.
